Farm:
This is a middle-sized (14 ha) traditional farm near Tucholski Landscape
Park.. Grains, potatoes, vegetables and fruits are grown and cows, pigs, ducks
and chickens are raised. Here you can learn to prepare traditional dishes and
how to use herbs. The farmers bake their own bread in a traditional stove.
You
can rent bikes here (3).
Accommodation:
three rooms (2x2, 1x3) and 2 bathrooms.
Surroundings:
Near the farm there are several lakes with crystal clear water for swimming,
and ponds full of fish for fishing. In the Landscape Park there are several
other reservations such as the Wstazka River reservation and the yew trees
reservation. In the Landscape Park there are several hiking and biking trails.
The surround ing
forests are full of mushrooms, berries and herbs.
Route
description: The
village of Zalesie is 5 km from Cekcyn and 11 km from Tuchola. From Tuchola go
in the direction of Tlen. In the town of Okiensk turn right. Follow this road
for about 1 km. By train to Cekcyn.

2. GACKI

This is a medium‑sized organic farm (12.5 ha). The farmers grow
vegetables, fruit and corn, and keep cows, horses, poultry and
sheep.
They have four daughters (29, 25,19,15) and a son, Janusz (12). On the farm
you can buy vegetables, eggs, dairy products, marmalades, etc. In winter there
are trails for sledding and cross‑country skiing. The farmer can organise
sleigh rides then. There are separate toilets in each room. The farm is near
the area of the Tuchola Woods. It is recommended to families with children.

Surroundings: Close to the farm are beautiful lakes. In the forest you can
pick berries and mushrooms. It’s the biggest forested area in Poland, a land
of lakes and very old and beautiful forests. Drzycim has a monumental church,
and in Swiecie a
 there is a castle of the Teutonic Order. Route
description: The village is 62 km north of Torun, 58 km northeast of
Bydgoszcz and 42 km west of Grudziadz. By car or by bus: first to Swiecie,
then further northwest towards Drzycim, through Sulnowko, Wyrwa,
Maly Dolsk, Duzy Dolsk and Biechowko. Get off at the bus stop called Gacki,
just before the village; the farm is on your right.
By train: from Laskowice Pomorskie to
Drzycim. By bus from Swiecie to Gacki .

Farm:
This organic farm is small in size (4.5 ha). The farmers cultivate mostly
vegetables, rye and potatoes and keep two cows and 50 hens. The farm houses
consist of new brick buildings in a green, hilly area with plenty of smaller
and larger water basins. Many herbs are found in the woods and meadows, and
the farmers will be glad to show you where to pick them. There
 are
canoeing rallies on the Drweca River (one of them starts in Brodnica).

Surroundings:
There are 5 lakes nearby and the area is great for cycling tours. It is the
Brodnicki Landscape Park. In Brodnica you can visit many monuments.
Route description:
Brodnica is 65 km northeast of Torun, and Zbiczno is 10 km north of Brodnica.
If you are coming from the direction of Torun, turn left toward Zbiczno at the
first main crossroads in Brodnica. After a few kilometres you will see a small
petrol station on your right. When you have passed it, turn right onto a dirt
road. At the first crossing turn right again. The farm’s buildings are covered
with two different sorts of roofs.

English Farm: On this organic farm (52 ha), young farmers keep
poultry, hens, dogs and cats and grow vegetables, grains and fruit. On the
farm you can buy goat’s milk, cottage cheese, eggs, meat and vegetables. You
can hire bikes here (10) – the hosts help you with bike transport. They also
organise canoeing rallies (Drawa and Notec River), horse cart riding, and
flights to the neighbouring Polish or foreign cities – there is a seasonal,
small airport. The hosts meet guests at the railway station in Krzyz
Wielkopolski. The campsite is large, very well kept, with separate
bathrooms/ toilets. The village is famous for the great number of storks
coming here each year in the spring.
Surroundings:
 The
farm is surrounded by beautiful forests that have remained almost untouched,
such as Notecka Virgin Forest and Notec Valley with 240 birds species, Drawa
Virgin Forest, and Drawa National Park.This is a great area for ornitologist.

Route description: Krzyz (Wielkopolski)
is between Pila and
Gorzow Wielkopolski. It is about 35 km west of Czarnkow, 39 km southwest of
Trzcianka and 20 km east of Drezdenko. When you arrive in Krzyz, there are
still 6 km to the farm. You should take the road towards Wielen (there is a
sign post at the crossing, which directs you to the right). Go on until you
see a bus stop on the right, and turn right onto a dirt road. The farm is
less then 1 km off the road. The farmers will pick you up at the railway
station in Krzyz,
if you ask them to.

5. BOLEWICE

Farm:
This is an 8 ha organic farm.
Vegetables and herbs are grown near some beehives. The farmers’ method of
cultivation (with herbs growing between the vegetables) helps protect the
vegetables from insects. The farmers can lead workshops on the
use of herbs in the kitchen and in preparing cosmetics.
In front of the farmhouse, which is located in a cherry orchard, there is an
experimental field where children can get familiarised with organic farming
methods.
There are bicycle paths and nature teaching path close to the farm.

Surroundings:
The
farm is located near Pszcz ewski Landscape Park in the area of big lakes
and great natural forests. Route description: From Poznan take the road
going
in the direction of Swiecko, passing Pniewy, Lwowek and Gronsko until you get
to Bolewice. There turn right before the park. Follow the road along the wall
and the fence for 100 m. You will see the farmhouse in a cherry orchard.

English, French, Russian. Farm: This is a 83 ha farm, where cereals,
vegetables and herbs are grown and sheep, goats, poultry, rabbits and fish
are kept. Hosts organize cycling tours, canoeing, horse riding and fishing
for the guests. Surroundings: The Region of Gvda river valley
contains some national parks and reserves: The Big Betyn Lake, the Kuznik,
the Zdbice, the Frogs Lake and the Rose river valley with “Devil’s jump’ as
a pearl of nature crown-reserves of rate stands of trees and springs. The
crystal water in rivers and lakes attracts many rare species as e.g.
spring’s and rainbow trouts, salmons, yellow eels or pikes. This is a
paradise for fishing lovers, but also for pickers of mushrooms, herbs or
fruit. You can also see the forest’s lakes with their bird life and forest
animals. There are good opportunities for water sports, swimming and general
rest found upon such lakes as the Trzebieszki or the Krapskie. The nearest
bus station is 5 km, railway station - 0,5 km from the farm.
